This happen right before Christmas as there daughter was on her way home with a family friend when the car was struck by a train and my great aunt and uncles daughter was killed. Along with this event the only other thing I really could find dealing with my great aunt and uncle was this extraordinary flower garden and I began inventing this thought and story around it as it seemed as if all the love they had was pour into this field of flowers they never had children again and to me it seemed as if all the love they had for there daughter was redirected into this field. The title is an amalgamation of grandmother Dad and Linda. The concrete aspects are in the elements of my father. As this image developed I really thought it would be interesting to confront the viewer with a similar situation by creating a confrontational image based on the experience of having a gun pointed at you.
